DETHERM

About DETHERM

DETHERM is one of the world's largest thermophysical databases and contains data for:

  • 11,300,000 data items
  • 163,000 mixtures
  • 60,600 pure compounds

Where does the DETHERM data come from?

The complete DETHERM database consists of externally maintained packages:

  • Dortmund Data Bank (DDB)
  • Electrolyte Data Collection (ELDAR)
  • Thermophysical Database (INFOTHERM)
  • Thermophysical Parameter Database (COMDOR)
  • Data Collection (C-DATA)
  • Solubility Database (CAPEC-SDB)

What properties can be found within DETHERM?

  • Phase equilibrium data
  • Vapour pressures
  • Thermodynamic properties
  • Transport properties
  • Surface tensions
  • Electrolyte data

See DETHERM Content, for more information about the content contained within the DETHERM database.

How to access DETHERM through PSDI

PSDI provides access to the DETHERM through the DETHERM web portal. You must be logged into PSDI to access the service, and the service is only available to UK academics.

Click DETHERM web portal, to access the search interface to the DETHERM database. You will need to follow the prompts to register or log in to your PSDI account using your institutional log in.

warning

In order to download data from DETHERM you must be connected to your institutional network. If you are working away from your institution you should use your institutional VPN.

There are restrictions on the amount of searches that you can perform in a particular time period. If you exceed the number of searches in that time, you must wait for a few minutes before you can search again.

If you need additional help, contact us.

Using DETHERM

Click the Start DETHERM...on the WEB session button to enter the search interface.

A DETHERM search consists of the following steps:

  1. Choosing which components to add to the mixture
  2. (Optional) choosing which properties to search
  3. Selecting the results you wish to download
  4. Choosing your preferred format for the data
  5. Completing the download from the cart interface

Guidance is provided within the interface to help you construct your search and download the data. You can also get more guidance about using the DETHERM interface, and the data you can access, using the Help menu on each page.
